ahead of the greatest Saradiya Festival of Durga Puja, the BHBCUC, USA is passing trough a historical & pleasant time for few reasons. Worthwhile to point out that at end of September, we were able to jointly meet the Chief Adviser Dr. Fakhruddin Ahmed getting very fruitful output. Now, the other great event that took place on last 7th October, while we organized a Round Table Conference (RTC) at Jackson Heights . The RTC was glorified due to presence of our two legendary personalities, namely Advocate Rabindra Ghosh, President, HRCBM, Bangladesh and Dr. Mohit Ray, President, CAAMB, Kolkata , India , as the key speakers sharing their experience, observations, views and ideas on the decades' together atrocities on the religious minority populations in Bangladesh . The function was presided over by Dr. Thomad D. Roy, while it was conducted by Mr. Sushil Saha.
The two great leaders from Bangladesh and India talked about 1½ hours and then there was a Question & Answer session, in which everybody attended there, participated.
When Adv. Ghose started talking, the whole house became pin drop silent, it was simply amazing, unheard, appealing and touched everybody's heart. There is no language to describe. He narrated from his own practical experience how he has been working and be at the side of the minority victims from urban to suburban & even at the most remote part of Bangladesh . He described the unbelievable devastating conditions of the religious minorities living in Bangladesh . He told, while he is on his way of accomplishment of jobs to collect the information of disastrous minorities and try to be their side to protect them, he has been facing obstacles of all kinds up to life threat several times from the islamic terrorists and government machineries, especially during the period of last BNP-Jamaat 5-year all out misrule.
Dr. Mohit Ray's speech was sparkled with intellect and he mainly described the background of formation of CAAMB based in Kolkata an how this organization has been working for us and why they are doing it. He also described the bleak future if nothing is done now. He thanked BHBCUC , USA for all the support in the past.
Both the leaders appealed for the unity in Unity Council. Adv. Ghosh told if you are united, we become courageous and if you are divided, our moral goes down. He reminded us that they are working at the ground zero taking risk of their life and we the overseas chapters have not the right to play with their lives .
