On April 2 & 3, 2007 Monday and Tuesday, a delegation of Bangladesh Hindu, Buddhist & Christian Unity Council, USA held meetings with the Officials of U. S. Department of State; U. S. Department of Democracy, Labor & International Religious Freedom (IRF) and U. S. Commission on Religious Freedom (USCIRF). The delegation handed over memorandum with enclosures of latest evidence of atrocities e.g., the cases of forced conversion and the documentations regarding Ramna Kali Bari and Ma Anadomoyee Ashram, the copy of which was sent to Chief Adviser of Caretaker Government of Bangladesh Fakhruddin Ahmed. The delegation also handed over memorandum to the offices of Congressman Tom Lantos, Chairman of the House Committee on Foreign Affairs; Congressman Gary Ackerman, Chairman of the Central & South Asian Sub-committee on the House Committee on Foreign Affairs; Office of Senator Arlen Specter (former Chairman, Senate Judiciary Committee) and Offices of Congressman Joseph Crowley, Congressman S. Kirk and Congressman Peter King. Besides these, memorandum was also given to Mr. Brent Christen of the USA State Department to be forwarded to Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice, Asst. Secretary of State Mr. Boucher, Deputy Asst. Secretary of Sate Mr. Gastright and the Asst. Area Director for Pakistan & Bangladesh Mr. Richard Sacks.
