The policy meeting of BHBCUC, USA was held on 21 st January 2007. Presided over by Mr. Nabendu Dutta and conducted by Mr. Sushil Saha, the meeting hailed the speech made by the care taker government head Dr. Fakrauddin Ahmed addressing to the nation.

The meeting demanded that free & fair election should be held as early as possible. Meeting also praised the intension of the Dr. Fakruddin to curb the terrorism and eradicate communalism from the society and establish communal harmony. The meeting applauded step that the care taker government has taken to separate the judiciary from the administration.

The meeting side by side demanded the government permanently would have to repeal the "Enemy Property (Vested Property) Act' for good, which would show that the government is keen to solve the problems of the religious minorities of Bangladesh.

Among others the meeting was addressed by Mr. Ratan Barua, Dr. Thomas D. Roy, Mr. Chandan Sen Gupta,  Mr. Pradip Das, Mr. Bishnu Gope; Ms. Amrita Sarbidhya, Ms. Mukti Shil, Mr. Suvo Roy, Dr. Monorama Biswas, Mr. Pradip Malaker and Mr. Sitanshu Guha.
