CAAMB Meeting held

CAAMB (Campaign Against Atrocities on Minorities in Bangladesh), All India Refugee Front, Ubastu Sangram Parishad, Bangladesh Udbastu Unnayan Sangsad, Indian Depressed Classes League, Bangladesh Minority forum met in a day-long brain-storming session to plan for future course of movement at Shantinagar Girls School at Palta, North 24 Parganas on 29 July 2007. Refugees from Bangladesh are now facing criminal charges due to new Indian Citizenship Act, 2003. Also all the refugees after 1971 March face uncertain future. Indian Government refuses to recognise the refugees from Bangladesh and often jails and harass the refugees. On the other hand the government remains silent on infiltration of millions of Bangladeshi Muslims. Due to CAAMB's untiring campaign, the refugee movement has taken up the issue of the Hindu-Buddhist-Christian minorities in Bangladesh in their campaign too. The refugee movement and the movement for protection of minorities in Bangladesh jointly can become a force of change. The meeting planned to sit again for a concrete planning.

Thanks..........
