GATHERING IN FRONT OF CONSULATE GENERAL OFFICE IN NEW YORK
IN PROTEST OF 5-YEARS OF MINORITY PERSECUTION IN BANGLADES
 

Bangladesh Hindu Buddhist Christian Unity Council,
USA (BHBCUC, USA) had observed it's program ‘5-years of Minority Persecution' by staging a gathering on Friday, 10 th November 2006 from 2-4 PM in front of the Consulate General office of Bangladesh in Manhattan, NY.  Ignoring cold and working day a lot of people participated the gathering which was silent and peaceful. Moderate Muslims also joined and supported minority cause. Among others were present Ratan Barua, President, BHBCUC, USA; Sushil Saha, General Secretary, BHCUC, USA; Farasat Ali, President, Coalition Against Fundamentalism & Terrorism in Bangladesh; Dewan Mohiuddin, Convenor, Sachha Sevok League; Hakikul Islam Khokan, President, Human Rights Society; Kajal Arefin; Subrata Biswas; Monorama Biswas, Vice-President, BHBCUC, USA; Beauty Saha; Subodh Sarker, Ratan Taluker and Sitangshu Guha. At the end a delegation handed over a memorandum to the Consul general Mr. Kaji Imtiaz.
